7. The Doctor/Rose

When I started Doctor Who I did not expect to walk away with two OTPs. I was told it was a show about time travel and aliens. That’s one of the best things about Doctor Who, though, isn’t it? The human element. I was drawn to Rose immediately because we were the same age, we were both kinda stuck in a rut, and we both had a tendency to be very curious and stubborn. I have to say Doctor/Rose was a ship that really snuck up on me. Like I said, I wasn’t expecting to find an OTP in this show. I really started feeling it near the end of series one when Nine said he was going to save her. I also really loved the Bad Wolf kiss. It really wasn’t until “The Satan Pit” speech that I realized I shipped them hardcore. Like with many of my other OTPs, The Doctor and Rose complete each other. He gives her this exciting new life and she gives him a reason to hope and love again. By series two, they’re so in sync with each other, they’re practically reading each other’s minds. They both changed each other for good, ending up better people because of it. That’s what I see as true love. Someone who will challenge you and make you grow as a person, not just in the love you share. Someone who completes your whole being. That’s the Doctor and Rose.
